How Pets Choose a Spot
Dogs and cats don't think, "that's a nice bed." They think, "does this spot feel safe? Is the temperature right? Can I see what's going on?"

Where to Put It
By the Window
Why it works: Sunlight. A view. Birds, leaves, people walking by. It's entertainment.

How to Get Your Pet to Use the Bed
Start where they already sleep. If they always nap in one corner, put the bed there.
Make it smell like them. Add a blanket they've slept on. An old shirt of yours works too.
